Genre: Drama | Civil War

Logline: A young runaway slave joins the Union and with the aid of a Major, sets free the last slaves of the Civil War.

Bio: Upon receiving an Honorable Discharge from the United States Marine Corps (1977-80), Richard Rone pursued and graduated from Harris-Stowe State College in St. Louis, Missouri. There he earned a B.S. in Education and a Minor in U.S. History. This is not the first time for this Marine in writing a military script. He has also written the Vietnam War drama “Til I Die, Semper Fi” about a Marine platoon in the 1968 Tet Offensive.
